Robots and machining centres won't replace people, but they will help

The knives made at the Mikov factory, as well as the chisels produced at our Narex Bystřice plant, are tools that have remained virtually unchanged over the centuries. Of course, new designs and better materials are used for knives, but the principle remains the same - a comfortable handle and a sharp tool.

The Future Forces Forum is a prestigious event that brings together government officials, military leaders, scientists and experts to discuss and inform themselves about the security challenges facing NATO and the European Union in today's world. Our cooperation with Prim began in 2017. At that time, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Operation Anthropoid, we equipped their special package with Orlik watches with our Mikov Commandos dagger, which was marked with the same serial number as the watch. The limited edition of 75 pieces sold out immediately.

Looking back at the Knife Festival

It has been ten years since the first Knife Festival took place in Mikulášovice on May 12, 2012. Since then, they have not been held regularly every year, the longest break was brought by the recent coronavirus epidemic, and so this year, on August 6, only the 7th edition took place. What was it like?

Mikov plans further support for war veterans of the Czech Army

Representatives of Mikov met on Monday, 12 September, at the Community Centre for War Veterans in Prague with members of the UNPROFOR mission who were direct participants in the shelling of the Tango 23 Repetitor observation post, some of them wounded, during which two Czech soldiers - Sergeant Petr Valeš and Staff Sergeant Luděk Zeman - were killed.
